MISSION STATEMENT

AM1700 is a non-commercial, community radio station located in Historic Downtown Ypsilanti, Michigan. AM1700 operates under Title 47, Part 15 (47 CFR 15) in the Code of Federal Regulations governing the Federal Comminication Commission (FCC) regarding unlicensed transmissions.
AM1700 is dedicated to filling a void in radio programming that has been created as the result of mega conglomerates owning much of the airwaves across America. The station’s is committed to providing an outlet to viewpoints — whether the be musical or otherwise — not found elsewhere on the radio dial.
AM1700 shall not allow any censorship in program content by any agency outside of the station.
