From an old converted barbershop inside the area’s largest all-nude strip club comes the fourth episode of WICKidz Radio hosted by WICIR, the Washtenaw Interfaith Coalistion for Immigration Rights.
WICKidz Radio is locally run by youth for youth in the Ypsilanti area. The show focuses on local and national social justice issues. The goal is that listeners can learn and take inspiration from the perspectives of young people, and go out to make a difference.
In this month’s episode, the kids discuss immigrant life. Manny leads a discussion with the other members of the studio audience about their experiences in coming to the United States and the obstacles they’ve had to overcome.
Released 19 September, 2015
