The Music & Arts Guild Showcase, Episode 39 :: DUANE THE JET BLACK EEL
Hosted by James McGee 9 February, 2017
From an old converted barbershop inside the area’s largest all-nude strip club comes the thirty-ninhth episode of The Music & Arts Guild Showcase with your host, James McGee.
AM1700 is joining forces with The Music & Arts Guild to form a supergroup not seen since The Birthday Party and members of Einsturzende Neubauten and Magazine teamed up to form Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.
Focusing on local music with weekly live, in-studio performances, the Music & Arts Guild Showcase aims to spotlight bands that are making great music in the area. James handcrafts each show by picking out only the best in local music.
In this week’s episode, DUANE The Jet Black Eel visit the AM1700 studio prior to DUANE’s first Ypsilanti show in nearly seven years. DUANE and the gang blow out the station’s windows as they tear through four tracks slated for an upcoming album. AM1700 also gives the world radio premiere of DAUNE’s latest, “Anguilliformes”.
Released 09 February, 2017
Recorded live at AM1700 Radio in historic, downtown Ypsilanti, MI.
