WICKidz Radio, Episode 63

Hosted by Andres Stockdill 17 April, 2021

From an old converted barbershop inside the area’s largest all-nude strip club comes the sixty-third episode of WICKidz Radio hosted by WICIR, the Washtenaw Interfaith Coalition for Immigrant Rights.

WICKidz Radio is locally run by youth for youth in the Ypsilanti area. The show focuses on local and national social justice issues. The goal is that listeners can learn and take inspiration from the perspectives of young people, and go out to make a difference.

In this month’s episode, Andres gives an updated take on the COVID-19 pandemic, the increase in mass shootings around the country, the GA voter bill being signed into law, as well as the killing of Daunte Wright.

For the main discussion, Andres gives the ins and outs of the Derrek Chauvin trial as it heads to the jury.

Finally, Andres breaks the news with the announcement of his new radio program, “Cratedigger’s Delight” debuts April 30th.

Recorded live at AM1700 Radio in historic, downtown Ypsilanti, MI.
