From an old converted barbershop inside the area’s largest all-nude strip club comes the sixth episode of La Radio Raza Latina hosted by Martha Valadez and Juan Zamorano-Gonzalez.

La Radio Raza Latina is the only Spanish-language, issues-oriented radio program in Southeastern Michigan. The focus of La Radio Raza Latina is to discuss news that is important to Latinos in Michigan and the US. La Radio Raza Latina is the radio program of Latin American people that identifies with our families, our town, and our people.

This this week’s episode, Martha and Juan interview Susan Reed, Director of the Michigan Immigrant Rights Center, about possible policy changes to the application process for obtaining driver’s licenses. Later, Miguel Leon joins Martha and Juan for a discussion about higher education, different education options, in-state tuition policies, scholarships, and DREAMer experiences. Finally, they interview DREAMer activist and current graduate student at the University of Michigan School of Social Work Maria Ibara and hear her personal narrative about pursuing higher education.
