The Saturday Six Pack With Mark Maynard, Episode 52

From an old converted barbershop inside the area’s largest all-nude strip club comes the fifty-second episode of the Saturday Six Pack With Mark Maynard. Moving from print media, Mark Maynard brings his interview style to the world of AM radio.

Scott Hagerstrom, the Michigan director of the Trump Pence 2016 campaign joins Mark in the first segment. Scott talks about the events that took him and his family from Inskter to Indianapolis and why he’s backing Donald Trump. In a very civil and pleasant discussion, Mark and Scott surprisingly agree on a number of points regarding the direction the country is headed.

Next, Brandon Dillon, Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party, calls in to talk about the Michigan House and Senate races and whether or not control on the two bodies could change hands. Brandon also talks about what is being done at the State level to support the Clinton Kaine 2016 ticket.

In the second hour, Scott Menzel, Superintendent of the Washtenaw Intermediate School District, sits down with Mark to discuss the current challenges with school funding and the impact the proposed third grade reading retention bill will have on Ypsilanti Community Schools. The show ends with a spirited conversation about casual footwear.
