The Saturday Six Pack With Mark Maynard, Episode 19

From an old converted barbershop inside the area’s largest all-nude strip club comes the nineteenth episode of the Saturday Six Pack With Mark Maynard.

Moving from print media, Mark Maynard brings his interview style to the world of AM radio. In the first hour, Andy Claydon and Steve Marton stop by the studio to celebrate the ninth anniversary of Minus9. Andy Claydon gives the single greatest performance on The Saturday Six Pack to date as he rails against everything from blogs to breeders to Normal Park to Peter Larson. So not to tire themselves out before their Ninth Anniversary gig later that night, the guys debut a few tracks off of their latest album “Valley Of The Sick & Stupid”. Next Steve Hughes, editor-in-chief of Detroit’s longest running zine, discusses the evolution of Stupor, his son Logan’s new three piece band, and possible vacation plans with the Maynard family. Steve then reads some of his poetry as Minus9 play far-out poetry-reading background music. In the second hour, Marisa Dluge and her performance troupe discuss their upcoming performance of “The Nightman Cometh” and give a musical preview of what they have in store for audiences. Finally, Colin Moorhouse drops in to show everyone his new haircut and color and talk about the hardships of recruiting for a cult.
