The Saturday Six Pack With Mark Maynard, Episode 22

From an old converted barbershop inside the area’s largest all-nude strip club comes the twenty-second episode of the Saturday Six Pack With Mark Maynard.

Moving from print media, Mark Maynard brings his interview style to the world of AM radio. In the first hour, Mark talks with the new superintendent of Ypsilanti Community Schools, Dr. Benjamin Edmondson, about the changes he plans to make to strengthen our schools. Later in the hour as part of an AM1700 programming crossover, Mark interviews Andres from the WICKidz Radio show and receives a lesson on Blackbeard. After a Jim Cherewick cover of The Go-Go’s 1982 smash hit “Vacation”, the second hour begins with Mark trying to bond with his daughter Clementine as she talks about their recent vacation where they ate in as many Chick-fil-A restaurants in as many states as possible. Clementine also tells the audience the reason she finds her little brother Arlo annoying. Next, The People’s History of Ypsilanti segment focuses on the 1860s. Finally, Bee Roll describes her efforts in promoting Senator Bernie Sanders for president in 2016. The show ends with Jim and Mark singing about the climatic conditions in the AM1700 studios.
