The Saturday Six Pack With Mark Maynard, Episode 26
From an old converted barbershop inside the area’s largest all-nude strip club comes the twenty-sixth episode of the Saturday Six Pack With Mark Maynard.
Moving from print media, Mark Maynard brings his interview style to the world of AM radio. In the first hour, Mark takes it easy on Washtenaw County Commissioner Conan Smith as they discuss the Board of Commissioners’ evil plot to take over the board, the appointment process, and the budget of a new county-wide economic development organization. Conan confides in Mark and tells him the board hasn’t done its due diligence on the issue and that he favors tabling the resolution until someone can articulate an actual plan. Next, award-winning investigative journalist Will Potter, formerly of the Chicago Tribune, discusses dissent politics and the state of civil liberties in a post-9/11 America by focusing on eco-terrorists and ag-gag laws. Finally, Saginaw musician Mike Flores talks about his struggles over the years and how they influenced his music as he plays an extended live set as Edgar Cayce And His Guitar.
