The Saturday Six Pack With Mark Maynard, Episode 39

From an old converted barbershop inside the area’s largest all-nude strip club comes the thirty-ninth episode of the Saturday Six Pack With Mark Maynard.

Moving from print media, Mark Maynard brings his interview style to the world of AM radio. In the first hour, Mark and Ypsilanti City Council member Anne Brown discuss her campaign to become the next State Representative from Michigan’s 54th District. They discuss her platform and what it’s like to be a Democrat in Michigan’s Legislature.

In the second hour, Grammy Award-winning rock and roller Ivan Král stops by the station to enthrall listeners with stories about working for Apple Records and Allen Klein, hanging around with the likes of The Beatles, David Bowie, Patti Smith, and Blondie, and glam rock. The show ends with Ivan explaining why Iggy Pop’s 1981 album, Party, unfortunately turned out the way it did.

Released 06 February, 2016

Recorded live at AM1700 Radio in historic, downtown Ypsilanti, MI.
