The Sit Down, Episode 9

Hosted by Cydney Gardner-Brown 15 February, 2019

From an old converted barbershop inside the area’s largest all-nude strip club comes the ninth episode of The Sit Down, with resident host, Cydney Gardner-Brown.

The Sit Down is a series of spoken and recorded conversations featuring the voices of college students. Conversations are focused on capturing a wide array of perspectives regarding race, pop-culture, politics, gender/sexuality, and more. These discussions attempt to seize the essence of those “deep” 3AM conversations had in the areas where college students dwell and dream.

In this week’s episode, Cydney sits down with Aubrianna and Camryn to talk about the effect of hate language on marginalized communities and how major universities contribute to the oppression with non-action.

Released 15 February, 2019

Recorded live at AM1700 Radio in historic, downtown Ypsilanti, MI.
