From an old converted barbershop inside the area’s largest all-nude strip club comes the fifty-first episode of The Music & Arts Guild Showcase with your host, James McGee.
AM1700 is joining forces with The Music & Arts Guild to form a supergroup not seen since The Birthday Party and members of Einsturzende Neubauten and Magazine teamed up to form Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.
Focusing on local music with weekly live, in-studio performances, the Music & Arts Guild Showcase aims to spotlight bands that are making great music in the area. James handcrafts each show by picking out only the best in local music.
In this week’s episode, James is joined by Friends Of The Bog. All the way from Chicago, they take time away from their whirlwind Michigan tour and brave the sweltering heat of the studio to tear through nine tracks filled with tight harmonies.
