From an old converted barbershop inside the area’s largest all-nude strip club comes the seventy-fourth episode of The Music & Arts Guild Showcase with your host, James McGee.
AM1700 is joining forces with The Music & Arts Guild to form a supergroup not seen since The Birthday Party and members of Einsturzende Neubauten and Magazine teamed up to form Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.
Focusing on local music with weekly live, in-studio performances, the Music & Arts Guild Showcase aims to spotlight bands that are making great music in the area. James handcrafts each show by picking out only the best in local music.
Joining James in the studio this week is Zander Michigan. Zander brings a bluesy class to his folk stylings and dazzles James throughout two sets. Zander dips into his back catalog, but also gives the audience the world premiere of his superb, brand-new album, “Kitchen Sink #1”.
