From an old converted barbershop inside the area’s largest all-nude strip club comes the seventy-sixth episode of The Music & Arts Guild Showcase with your host, James McGee.
AM1700 is joining forces with The Music & Arts Guild to form a supergroup not seen since The Birthday Party and members of Einsturzende Neubauten and Magazine teamed up to form Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.
Focusing on local music with weekly live, in-studio performances, the Music & Arts Guild Showcase aims to spotlight bands that are making great music in the area. James handcrafts each show by picking out only the best in local music.
In this week’s episode, Liquid Thickness joins James for an enthusiastic set. They promise to bring the funk, and bring it they do. They end up with funk on the walls. Funk on the floor. By the end, there is so much funk in the studio that it becomes hard to move around.
