The Music & Arts Guild Showcase, Episode 77 :: Electric Huldra

Hosted by James McGee

[PODCAST]

From an old converted barbershop inside the area’s largest all-nude strip club comes the seventy-seventh episode of The Music & Arts Guild Showcase with your host, James McGee.

AM1700 is joining forces with The Music & Arts Guild to form a supergroup not seen since The Birthday Party and members of Einsturzende Neubauten and Magazine teamed up to form Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.

Focusing on local music with weekly live, in-studio performances, the Music & Arts Guild Showcase aims to spotlight bands that are making great music in the area. James handcrafts each show by picking out only the best in local music.

In this week’s episode, Electric Huldra loaded in so much gear and so many giant amps, the Fire Mashal threatened to shut down the station. But before that happened, the guys tore through the five tracks on their upcoming EP. They even managed to slip in a classic Slo Burn track.

Released 04 January, 2018

Recorded live at AM1700 Radio in historic, downtown Ypsilanti, MI.
