From an old converted barbershop inside the area’s largest all-nude strip club comes the twentieth episode of WICKidz Radio hosted by WICIR, the Washtenaw Interfaith Coalition for Immigrant Rights.
WICKidz Radio is locally run by youth for youth in the Ypsilanti area. The show focuses on local and national social justice issues. The goal is that listeners can learn and take inspiration from the perspectives of young people, and go out to make a difference.
In this month’s episode, Manny discusses the previous day’s Inauguration of President Donald J. Trump and the impact it might have on the immigrant community. Andres then phones in to the show to give an eyewitness report of what’s he’s seeing at the Women’s March On Washington.
