From an old converted barbershop inside the area’s largest all-nude strip club comes the twenty-ninth episode of WICKidz Radio hosted by WICIR, the Washtenaw Interfaith Coalition for Immigrant Rights. WICKidz Radio is locally run by youth for youth in the Ypsilanti area. The show focuses on local and national social justice issues. The goal is that listeners can learn and take inspiration from the perspectives of young people, and go out to make a difference.
In this month’s episode, Andres discusses environmental racism with respect to Hurricane Maria and the devastation of Puerto Rico. He also gives his take on sports as he discusses the NFL anthem controversy.
