From an old converted barbershop inside the area’s largest all-nude strip club comes the thirty-third episode of WICKidz Radio hosted by WICIR, the Washtenaw Interfaith Coalition for Immigrant Rights.
WICKidz Radio is locally run by youth for youth in the Ypsilanti area. The show focuses on local and national social justice issues. The goal is that listeners can learn and take inspiration from the perspectives of young people, and go out to make a difference.
In this month’s episode, Andres and Manny focus on the upcoming fight over DACA and the future of Dreamers. They also weigh in on acquittal of an NYPD sergeant in the shooting of Deborah Danner and the continuing crisis in Venezuela as the result of President Nicolas Maduro’s leadership.
